Finally finished!!!

As you know I have been working on baby girl's bedding. I am pleased to say that it is finally finished!! It probably wouldn't have taken so long if I could have made some decisions, but I'm not so good at that. (ask Matt) Since Noah is in his big boy bed now we were able to move the crib over and put it all together. The chair was also moved from Noah's room, but I added a new pillow. Of course there are things to go on the wall including her name, but those pictures will have to wait.

Sorry for the bad lighting. Not sure what's going on with the camera.

Big Boy Bed

Noah got a big boy bed on Tuesday. We still had him sleep in his crib that night, but to make everything fit the crib is in the middle of the room so he could see his new bed. Starting on Wednesday he got the first chance to sleep in his bed and LOVED it. He woke up very early so I changed his diaper and put him in his big bed to sleep a little longer. After about 45 to 50 minutes I heard a knock on his door and the picture below is where I found him. He has a few toys and lots of book in his room to keep him entertained, but he really didn't get into anything at all. Just sat on the pillows waiting for me. For nap time he climbed right in and laid down to sleep. Grandma said that when she went to get him he was still laying in bed waiting for her. Needless to say the crib is still in his room, but after a day and a half he much prefers his new bed and knocks on the door when he's ready to get up.

Noah loves the wii

Noah loves any opportunity to play any sport. For a long while he has thrown balls down the hallway into the kitchen for Polly to chase and bring back. It has since evolved into using sticks as golf clubs, playing catch with mom and dad, or kicking around his soccer ball. He has just recently learn to catch the ball to add to all the excitement.
With this being said he also likes to watch sports on TV and tries to imitate their moves. Matt pulled out the wii today for just this purpose and Noah enjoyed two games of golf with dad. He did a great job at taking turns, but in the middle of the second game he decided he just wanted to use his club to hit a real ball and was not willing to relinquish the remote. Needless to say we had an interesting morning at home.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Noah and I enjoyed a new fun activity of finger painting today. I wanted to him to make his own card for daddy (since I didn't like the ones at the store). He in turn did a great job and had a lot of fun in the process as you can tell. I just didn't realize how bad red washable finger paint would stain. (Interesting! At least I stripped him down before we got started.)

Hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day!!

The SNOWMAN!!

Remember how I told you we never get enough snow for a real snowman. Matt proved me wrong. Upon coming home from lunch he asked if I had taken Noah outside yet. I told him no and that I was hoping we could play with him. So he ran upstairs and put on ski pants over his work clothes and off we went. Noah wasn't to sure about the snow this time and took a little convincing that it was okay to walk and play in. He did take a couple face plants, but they didn't seem to bother him as long as you helped him up. And of course, while Noah is walking around Matt built us a REAL snowman!! Noah wasn't to sure what to make of him and was actually getting more concerned that he kept losing his mittens by this point.

More Tennessee SNOW and a door

You have to realize down here that we do NOT get snow very often if ever which is why we are so excited when it really does happen. This also means that the snow we get is usually just a dusting and not even enough to build a real snowman let alone sled in. So when the weather man says it may snow you never believe it till you see it. We were due to have a back door installed today and I got nervous waiting to see if it really would happen. Sure enough I get a call at 7:00 to say they are picking up the door and on their way. YEA!! About an hour after they get here and after they have ripped out the old door it starts to sprinkle which turned into snow real quick. Noah was very entertained to watch the two men work along with the snow falling. Needless to say the snow just keeps on coming and is making for an interesting and exciting day. They at first told me it would take up to four hours to put the door in. However, a little over two hours and the door is finished and they are gone. I don't know whether to say it was just an easier job than expected or they hurried because of the snow. Either way we are thrilled to have a new door.

These two pictures were taken exactly one hour apart so you can see how hard and fast it is coming down.
