All the different happenings around here...

A lot has been going on around here, hence, the blank postings. So I'll try to fill you in on a few details.

I had my 10-year reunion. It was great to see everyone and though lots of friends were missing we managed to have a good time. Matt did a great job joining the men's table while we all caught up with everyone. Thank you honey.

Noah and I had a lot of time together while Matt was sick in bed for a couple of days. Of course, he is much better now, no worries. You never realize how much easier it is with four hands until you don't have two of them.

Matt celebrated his 30th birthday with all his friends at the cabin. Since so many of them were turning 30 this year we decided it best to have a joint party for all instead of several small ones.
Most of these guys hit the milestone this year.

And of course, you can't have a post without the help of Noah and his bedhead. Matt went to get him up from nap and this is what it looked like when he came down.

For the new baby news we are about to week 16 and the morning/night sickness is still trailing along. I was hoping it would be gone by this point. I'm not so lucky this time around. Hence, another reason why there are so few posts lately. Night times are still bad for me. I can't complain though since I can make it through the morning and afternoon fairly well. We also have to congratulate Andrea (Matt's sister) and Brad on their newest addition as well. They are due a week after us.

Never to late to start chores

So I know that Noah is only 15, almost 16 months old. But Matt and I realized the other day that he complete understands chores already. Noah's favorite thing to do is help feed Polly. If you ask him if he wants to help he runs to the pantry (where Polly's food is kept). Once you open the door he finds the bin and opens it to get the cup. Once the cup is full he carries (with a little help) the cup to her bowl and dumps it in and then runs back to the pantry to put the cup away and close the container. It is very funny to watch, as well as, how excited he gets about this event. I guess he'll start taking care of Polly sooner than we expected.

Play time with dad

Noah has decided that he LOVES to play outside. He wrangled daddy into taking him out right when he got home. Here are their loads of fun. However, we had to shut it down when he tried to eat the sand.

Oh, in case you didn't know this already Noah really likes the camera.

Noah's first pictures

Noah wanted to see the camera and I helped show him which button to push to take a picture. He was very excited about this. I may be in trouble now...

Although, he did a pretty good job, if I do say so myself.

The field

These are the pictures that I took while playing in the field today. Noah had a lot of fun!!

Playing get mommy...

I love Mommy!

Trying to figure out his shoes.

Do I need these straps?

Tickle spider time...

Daily walk to meet dad

As a recent tradition now Noah and I go every evening and walk to the corner of our neighborhood to wait for dad. When Matt comes down the street we hop in the car and he drives us home. The best part is that we have these great fields to play in while we wait. This is what it looks like on our walk...

How do we get Polly out of here. (Polly does not get to go anymore. After one trip it was to hard for me to keep hands on both, while watching that Noah didn't get hit/wrapped with the leash.)

Stop to smell the flowers. He actually loves to do this and does it on his own. Today was the first day he actually touched one instead of smelling. More importantly to him he found the mulch they sit in, hence, why we started touching the flowers. We'll see if this tradition continues.

Then we got close to the corner Noah found a new friend. He just stood there and pointed and watched the dog; who so nicely joined the game and came to sit and watch for herself.
